AF: Birthday Memories?

It's my 31st birthday! I made it! So, today, my mother is taking Kicker and I to the Los Angeles County fair. My parents used to take me every year, when I was little. I loved all the sights and smells. It was a lot of fun, and I remember it fondly. I haven't been since I was 12 - the year my parents separated.
Anyways, Aloha Friday is the day to take things easy, and kick back. So, today, I'm going to ask you, my readers - what is your favorite childhood birthday memory?

Hmm.. good question! My favorite Birthday memory.. was I think the fact that my parents would take just the birthday "kid" out to dinner. To where ever we wanted. There were 8 of us kids..so it was pretty fun to have time with Mom and Dad :)

In the town, where I grew up, I remember, once, I have celebrated my birthday, with all my elementary classmates as my guests and we served them pansit or rice noodles on a banana stalk. There were no balloons and there was no clown but my father served as the host and the clown, who made all the children happy with his witty jokes and fairy tales Happy week end!

I always used to have HUGE slumber parties as a little girl. It was a blast! And since my birthday is in October, my parents and I would stage a haunted house in the barn! Oh, the memories...

Happy Aloha Friday! :)

Well then. . . Happy, Happy Birthday! Memories are great, aren't they! As we get older, the more special they become! FYI, those of us on Internet Explorer don't see the "DROP" buttons on some Blogs out there - I found a "note" on E-Drop that says something about the way the code has to be for their button in order for IE to also show the Drop box. This was copied from them "If you put the badge code directly before your widget code you will need to put
between the codes. Otherwise for some reason the entrecard widget does not show up in Internet Explorer." Thanks!

First, Happy Birthday!

Second, I'm feeling kind of silly because nothing comes to memory. My birthday is Christmas Eve and it always seems to get kind of eclipsed by that other big holiday the next day. :P

Happy Birthday!

My favorite birthday memory:
I really did not care for cake of any kind growing up so my mother would make me a Pumpkin Pie every year for my birthday "cake".

Happy Birthday!

My favorite memory is the one and only birthday party I had with friends (usually it was just with family).

Happy Birthday!!

I guess I would say my favorite was my 13th birthday. My parents threw a surprise party for me & let me tell you, I had absolutely NO idea. I was totally surprised. Plus my parents sent me flowers & I felt all grown up when the flower delivery person came to the door with flowers for ME!

Happy Birthday! I think my favorite birthday memories were the years that I had swim parties. As a child growing up with snow and ice for her birthday, it was great to be able to do in December.

Have a great weekend!

I can remember having a sleepover with my friends in the 2nd grade. It was my first one!

My favorite childhood memory would have to be spending a snowy Christmas in a mountain cabin with all my cousins and extended relatives.

Great question!

I share a birthday with a sibling, so we always had to sit back to back to open presents. We still do!
