T13: Favorite Childhood Movies

Today's Thursday Thirteen is inspired by Apooo's post last week. It got me remembering all the movies I loved as a child. So here goes!

1) Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I loved this movie. Heck, I still do. Angela Lansbury makes me smile every time I see this film.
2) Candleshoe. A lesser-known Jodie Foster film about a huckster-orphan.
3) The Thin Man. Myrna Loy and William Powell. And of course, I can't forget Asta.
4) Sabrina. Humprey Bogart is wonderful in this role.
5) His Girl Friday. Rosalind Russell and Cary Grant mesmorized me on the screen.
6) Lili. I love Leslie Caron in this role - she is at her most charming.
7) Gigi. Another Leslie Caron movie, equally charming. Of course, I don't think I got what her Grandmother was training her for until I was an adult.
8) Mary Poppins. I think I can still sing all the songs from it nearly by heart.
9) My Fair Lady. I love Audrey Hepburn in this, and Rex Harrison just makes my heart melt. Of course, as an adult, I think Julie Andrews should have been given the role, but since she won Best Actress for Mary Poppins, I guess it worked out. ;)
10) Operation Petticoat. Cary Grant and Tony Curtis in Navy Uniforms. Need I say more? It made the girl in me swoon.
11) Some Like it Hot. I love Marilyn Monroe and Tony Curtis in this movie, but really, Jack Lemon is the star of this movie, as far as I'm concerned.
12) Big. Tom Hanks playing a 12 year old who is playing a grown-up.
13) The Man with One Red Shoe. Tom Hanks again, this time as an ordinary guy who is mistaken as a spy.

Well folks, there you have it. My Thirteen Favorite Movies as a Child. Well, that I can remember.
